It was a trip I'll never forget. We were feeling excited and nervous because it was our first trip to Peru. We were in a small car heading to Machu Picchu. I decided to go with my two closest friends, We had planned that trip for a long time, and we had already gathered all the money to make that trip come true.
We found Peru to be gorgeous, we had already tasted typical food and visited a lot of museums, also we went to a traditional celebration. while we were in the car we had seen a lot of landscapes and we took a lot of photos. It was amazing to watch different trees and animals.
Anyway, after arriving to Machu Picchu the car stopped due to mechanical problems, so we had to walk the rest of the way. It took us a day to get through the jungle, in a moment one of us got lost, but we found her, Doris was very scared. It was an exhausting walk, so we decided to camp for the night. We slept only five hours.
When we arrived to Machu Picchu, we knew that all that effort was worth it. How extremely beautiful were those ruins! we felt so excited so we started to cry, after a while we were taking photos and enjoying that precious time in that fantastic place. All in all, when we remember the trip we know that it was very magic and memorable.

ResponderEliminarOne suggestion:in the 2nd paragraph you don't need to use past perfect because you're just mentioning all the thing u did. Simple past is ok.
